Roller Coaster

Creating this book has been quite a roller coaster of emotions so far, and I’m sure it’s just beginning.  Here are some of the emotions so far:

1. Nagging feeling that someone should do this (2 years).
2. Up – Wow, I actually wrote it out.
3. Down – I have the first draft, but probably no one will ever see it.
4. Up – An illustrator friend of mine loves it and wants to do the illustrations.  This could actually be a book.
5. Down – I don’t really know anything about publishing.
6. Up – Lots of initial positive feedback from friends and family.
7. Down – What, an author is responsible for selling the book too?
8. Up – We could self-publish.  Cool.
9. Down – I don’t have that kind of time or money.
10. Up – That’s OK.  God will provide a way, and you don’t have to do it overnight.
11. Down – What if we are left with hundreds of boxes in our basement?
12. Up – This could be a fun family project for years to come.

That’s where we’re at now.  Hoping a big work bonus comes in next Month, and that my wife can then quit her job to do publicity.  No one will buy what they don’t know about.  Pray for us and this project.
